Hello! Welcome to my end of semester portfolio for my Writing for the Sciences class. My name is David Lalchand and I am a freshman currently majoring in Biology at the City College of New York. This portfolio consists of a Literacy Narrative Essay, an Expository Essay and a Research Essay as well as the respective topic proposals submitted ahead of those essays. Although, this class was a core requirement for my major it was refreshingly enjoyable and helped to reignite my interest in writing. The Literacy Narrative Essay helped me to rediscover my roots by reminiscing on early experiences with reading and writing. Additionally, both the Expository Essay and the Research Essay provided free reign to explore topics that I am passionate about and genuinely interested in, as well as those close to my heart. Finally, Professor Wernick provided a course that was quite engaging through his diverse use of course material and overall positive outlook towards teaching and writing.
